Who checks this, and how a figure gets onto a page
An independent desk that reads prices off the schools' own pages, dates them, and takes no money from any school.
Why this exists
Someone deciding whether to spend fifteen thousand dollars on a coding school deserves to start from a number rather than a brochure. Most of what ranks for that question is written by people paid per enrolment, which is a bad place to start. This site is the opposite arrangement: no school pays it anything, and the pages say so where it matters.
How a figure gets onto a page here
Somebody opens the school's own page in a browser, reads the number, and records the page and the day in the site's fact file. If a price only appears after clicking a billing toggle, every toggle is clicked and each panel recorded separately, because a page that opens on its cheapest option is telling you something and hiding something at the same time.
The browser is pinned to United States locale, New York time and an en-US language header. That is not fussiness. Two well-known learning platforms answered that browser in Armenian dram with region-discount banners, which means a figure read carelessly from this machine would have been nonsense for almost every reader. Where that happened, the refusal is printed instead of a number.
What we will not write down
No placement rate, salary or completion figure appears here unless it comes from a school's own report filed under the industry's audited reporting standard, or from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, credited to that source with its date. Marketing numbers stay in the marketing. Where a school's status is genuinely unclear — reported closed in one place and visibly enrolling students in another — the school is left out rather than hedged about.
Who writes it
A small independent editorial desk, working in public: every fragile figure carries its source, every refusal is published, and corrections are welcome and acted on. There is no newsletter, no lead form and no request for your phone number anywhere on this site. If you find a figure that has moved or a claim that does not hold, the contact page is one email address and nothing else.
